River Street reopens to traffic

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – River Street is reopened after a brief shutdown Friday afternoon.

The Bowling Green Fire Department initially stated just before 12:30 p.m. that River Street was closed to all traffic.

Local authorities responded to the scene, and the road reopened shortly after their arrival.

Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward has confirmed a false threat was reported in the area.

The area is back open to all traffic at this time.
