Four arrested following alleged mail theft case in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four people are behind bars in connection with an alleged mail theft case in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, a U.S. postal inspector was notified Thursday of a subject, later identified as 26-year-old Xavier Paul of Belleville, Michigan, who was at a post office attempting to cash check that was suspected to be stolen.
When the postal inspector told Paul to stop before leaving, police say Paul ran outside to a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Ginger Davila-Lopez of New York, New York.
Authorities say the vehicle fled at a high speed toward Scottsville Road and Interstate 65.
Police say the postal inspector was able to catch up to the vehicle until Smiths Grove police could conduct a traffic stop.
Authorities say the vehicle was also occupied by two other people, identified as 27-yera-old Alexandria Rodriguez of New York and 27-year-old Jeanelle Urena of New York.
According to police, marijuana and a large amount of U.S. currency were found in the vehicle.
All four individuals were arrested and remain at the Warren County Regional Jail.
Davila-Lopez faces charges of theft of identity of another without consent, possession of stolen mail, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, reckless driving and operating on a suspended or revoked operators license.
Paul is charged with theft of identity of another without consent, possession of stolen mail, third-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Rodriguez is charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Urena faces charges of second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia – buy/posses.
