Russell County woman cited after crashing vehicle into bank, police say

RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. – A Russell County woman was cited after crashing her vehicle into a bank Monday morning.

According to WJRS News, the Russell County Sheriff’s Department, Russell County EMS and the Eli Fire Department responded to a crash at Bank of Jamestown’s East 80 branch at Fairview at approximately 7:13 am.

Law enforcement told WJRS News that the vehicle driven by 26-year-old Hailey Hatter of Russell Springs crashed through the bank’s wall, causing extensive damage.

WJRS News says Hatter was cited for alleged reckless driving, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief.

The investigation is ongoing.
