Procter & Gamble to hike prices on some products amid tariff costs

(CNN) – Americans should expected to spend a little more for bathroom and laundry items.
During a media call Tuesday, manufacturing giant Procter and Gamble announced fiscal guidance for 2026 that features a $1 billion pre-tax hit caused by the Trump administration’s tariffs.
Chief financial officer Andre Schulten said there will be mid-single-digit price hikes for roughly a quarter of P&G’s items.
The company said it will offset some of the financial pinch with sourcing changes and productivity, but consumers will have to pick up some of the cost.
P&G stock was downgraded by both J.P. Morgan and Evercore earlier this month. However, the company’s most recent quarterly results beat Wall Street’s predictions.
