Franklin man charged after marijuana operation found in home

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Franklin man is facing multiple charges after the discovery of an alleged marijuana cultivation operation.

The South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force says on July 10, it conducted an investigation at a residence off the 400 block of South Main Street in Franklin.

Through the investigation, authorities say they found an indoor marijuana cultivation operation in the home.

Terry Moss, 60, of Franklin was arrested.

He faces charges of cultivate in marijuana (five plants or more, firearm enhancement), trafficking in marijuana, first offense (firearm enhancement), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (hydrocodone), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified) and two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

Authorities say they search resulted in the discovery of several marijuana plants, processed marijuana, two guns, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and U.S. currency.

The charges will be sent to a grand jury.

The drug task force was assisted by Franklin police, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, the Kentucky Sate Police, Scottsville police and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
