Authorities continue search for missing 61-year-old Cave City man

UPDATE (9/8/26): The Cave City Police Department tells WNKY News 40 that 61-year-old John F. Adwell, last seen Sep. 2, is still missing. Officials say the search is active.

CAVE CITY, Ky. – The Cave City Police Department is seeking information in an ongoing missing person investigation.

CCPD says 61-year-old John F. Adwell was last seen Sep. 2 at approximately 2:30 pm on 1st Street at the intersection of Gillenwater Street.

Adwell was seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, gray shoes and a red baseball cap. He has tattoos on his arms.

CPPD says Adwell has limited mobility and utilizes a walker. The walker was found at his last known location.
