KSP searching for escaped Lee County inmate

BEATTYVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is searching for an escaped Lee County inmate.
KSP says Jeffrey Harrison, 43, of Lexington, escaped the Three Forks Regional Jail at approximately 5 pm on Friday.
Harrison, who was in jail with a charge of promoting contraband first degree, was inadvertently released after identifying himself as his brother, who was scheduled for release.
KSP says his escape was not discovered until roll call at the jail on Friday evening.
Harrison is a white male, 5’9″ tall, and weighs 138 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, camo shoes, and a black hat.
KSP believes Harrison left the jail in an older model white Subaru.
