Local eateries celebrate ‘Restaurant Week’ for Duncan Hines Days

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – There’s no secret that Duncan Hines loved good food. During the annual Duncan Hines Days, local restaurants are also celebrating that love and their own successes.

This week, Duncan Hines Days celebrates the journey Duncan Hines took to recognize quality food in the United States. Restaurant Week, part of the annual celebration, includes the recognition of multiple restaurants in the area, which are listed here.

Danny’s Pasta Co. and Focacciaria , one local spot in Bowling Green that’s participating, was established in 2022. The owner, Daniel Gonzalez, has years of cooking and restaurant experience.

His menus are inspired by his time in Italy to craft a menu. Gonzalez says the menus blend authentic flavors and modern twists.

The restaurant collaborates with other local favorites, like Cotton BBQ and Rian’s Fatted Calf, to bring unique dishes to life. Duncan Hines believed food could bring people together. Places like Danny’s are proving that.

Gonzalez says as he spent more time cooking with Italians overseas, he says “it felt like home,” and he wanted to “bring that home feeling” to Bowling Green. Gonzalez believes that this community “has never felt more like family.”

This week is full of events to celebrate Duncan Hines’ and Bowling Green’s legacy.
