Portion of I-65 in Barren Co. closing temporarily for cleanup project

PARK CITY, Ky. – A portion of Interstate 65 northbound off of exit 47 for Park City is expected to close Thursday night starting at 7 p.m.

According to Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management, officials are unsure of how long the closure will be.

The contractor plans to have the ramp back open by 1 a.m.

Officials say the closure is due to a cleanup project to a previous accident at this location.

The Kentucky State Police and Park City Volunteer Fire Department will be on scene to ensure safety for crews and drivers.

Use caution in the area and plan to use alternate routes to reach your destination.
