Grayson County teen suffers critical injuries after being struck by vehicle
LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A Grayson County High School senior is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by WNKY News 40 partner K105, a female senior at Grayson County High School was struck after accidentally walking between two stationary vehicles and into the path of an oncoming SUV on Brandenburg Road, Leitchfield police say.
The incident reportedly occurred at 5:10 p.m.
EMS transported the female victim to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center for treatment. She was transported to Norton Children’s in Louisville.
The teen is currently in critical condition.
K105 says the Leitchfield Police Department is investigating the accident. News 40 will provide an update as more details are released.
