Simpson County Animal Shelter seeking donations for kennel project

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Simpson County Animal Shelter says it is in need of funding for a kennel project.

According to the shelter, outdoor kennels are badly needed for its shelter dogs.

This spring, the shelter is aiming to build 10 kennels with concrete floors in the outdoor area near the shelter building.

Rescuers say these spaces will allow dogs to get out of their current kennels and have space to stretch their legs and get fresh air, giving them a better quality of life.

The shelter says it will also make the dogs more visible to possible adopters.

If you would like to donate to the shelter, you can learn more by visiting its Facebook page here or by calling the shelter at 270-586-3125.
