Bowling Green man arrested after drugs found in home with children

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing charges after deputies say drugs were found within reach of children.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were contacted by parole officers Wednesday regarding drugs located at a residence.

Deputies say they were advised several items of drug paraphernalia were found, including a glass pipe, a bong and digital scales, along with marijuana cigarettes and methamphetamine.

Two children, ages 2 and 3, were also present in the residence with their mother, authorities say.

Deputies say they met with Andrew Wells, 33, of Bowling Green.

Authorities say Wells stated the drugs and drug paraphernalia were his.

Deputies say they learned the children sleep in the bedroom where the digital scales and methamphetamine were found, making them easily accessible to the children who were in the room.

Wells was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail. He faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and endangering the welfare of a minor.
