KYTC announces bridge closure in Edmonson County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 announced a bridge rehabilitation project in Edmonson County on Thursday.

KYTC says the KY 238 bridge over Big Reedy Creek is expected to be closed long-term as crews install new bridge beams and a new bridge deck.

Officials say the new rehabilitated bridge will use the same footprint as the current bridge. When the project is complete, the current weight limit of 18 tons will be lifted.

The closure will begin on March 7, and the project will take approximately 60 days to complete.
