Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center looking for logo submissions from veterans

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The new Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center is slowly coming along and now, they want the veteran community to get involved to leave a lasting mark.

The veterans center is asking for veterans to submit art for the chance to be chosen as the unique logo to the Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center. In Kentucky, there are four veterans centers, each with its own unique logo. This competition is giving veterans an opportunity to be involved with the Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center and be a part of Kentucky history.

“We definitely wanted to encourage veterans, to get the veteran buy in and get everybody involved and have the veteran community involved, because obviously, it’s a veterans center, and we felt like their input into it would be really valuable,” said Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center administrator Jason Gumm.

If you are interested in submitting your work to possibly be selected, you can drop your art pieces off at the Bowling Green VA Clinic. You can also submit pieces to julie.johnston@ky.gov. All artworks need to be submitted by Friday, Feb. 28.

The winner will be announced during the opening ceremony for the new Robert E. Spiller Veterans Center.
