Local census workers needed

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The census is hiring, and the pay has gone up for those who want a part time job during 2020.

Sue Parrigin, a Bowling Green City Commissioner, says accurate counts are extremely important because each person accounts for 1000 dollars of federal money coming into Bowling Green.

Parrigin says if you live in Bowling Green for more than six months out of the year, for census purposes, you are a Warren County resident, that includes students.

Each person must be counted one time in their correct census.

This includes the homeless, undocumented immigrants, and you.

This data is used daily and is critical for a multitude of things.

If you do not self-report via the internet, over the phone or through the mail, somebody from census 2020 will be knocking on your door.
