PEMBROKE, Ky. – Two people in a vehicle were pulled out of flood waters Tuesday morning.

According to a report from WNKY News 40 partner WKDZ Radio, a car occupied by a man and a woman stalled out in flood waters on Pruitt Lane.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle was traveling toward Bradshaw Lane when it entered the water and stalled. The car was in waist-deep water.

WKDZ Radio says an Amish community responded to the scene and used its horses to pull the vehicle out of the water.

The woman in the vehicle was transported for treatment.

Authorities responded to the same area for a second vehicle stalled in the water.

Pembroke Fire Department, Christian County Rescue, and Hopkinsville EMS assisted.
