1 flown after single-vehicle crash in Auburn

AUBURN, Ky. – One woman was flown for treatment earlier this week due to a crash in the Auburn area.

The Auburn Police Department shared Saturday it was dispatched, along with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:47 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 for a single-vehicle accident with injuries.

First responders arrived at the 200 block of Echo Valley Road and located a 2010 Kia Forte.

Police say the vehicle has been eastbound on Echo Valley Road when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and left the roadway before striking a tree on the passenger side.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage on the passenger side and roof, according to police.

Police say the driver was extracted from the vehicle by the Auburn Fire Department.

The driver was transported by ambulance before being flown to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
