Authorities: 2 lbs of suspected methamphetamine found inside Bowling Green home; arrest made

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A Bowling Green man is behind bars following a large drug bust Thursday night.
Maurice Boyd, 35, was arrested after a traffic stop. Authorities said they located suspected methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Boyd was charged with numerous offenses, including trafficking in a controlled substance-methamphetamine and heroin, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Following Boyd’s arrest, the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, along with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and the Bowling Green Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence off of Audley Avenue.
Authorities said they found nearly 2 lbs of suspected methamphetamine, approximately $14,000 cash and three handguns.
Tommy Loving, the task force director, said Boyd is a significant drug dealer in the area and expects more charges to be filed as a result of the bust.
He’s being held without bond in the Warren County Regional Jail.
