Local sheriffs share warning of RiverLink toll scam

SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY – Local sheriffs warn the public of a scam targeting motorists.

RiverLink, the electronic toll system in Louisville and Southern Indiana, says customers are being sent fraudulent text messages impersonating the company.

Officials say the messages claim to be from Riverlink and include a suspicious link asking for payment of tolls.

Local sheriff’s offices ask those who may be victims of the scam or may have questions about owing a toll to call RiverLink directly at 1-855-RIV-LINK (855-748-5465).
