Scam call regarding missed jury duty circulating in Warren Co.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is sharing information on the latest phone scam.

Deputies say a caller claiming to be “Sergeant Anderson” is asking for payments for a warrant for having missed jury duty.

The sheriff’s office says a warrant cannot be settled by paying them. This includes the use of gift cards, cryptocurrency or credit card numbers.

The calls often use the names of actual sheriff’s office employees and may even spoof the sheriff’s office’s number.

Authorities ask not to give out your personal information.
