Vehicle collides with snowplow in Simpson County, three injured

SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – Sunday, at around 9 a.m., The Franklin Police Department responded to a vehicle collision involving a snowplow truck.

The incident took place near the intersection of Nashville Road and Macedonia Road. According to the investigation, the Simpson County International snowplow truck pulled out into on-coming traffic on Macedonia Road. The truck hit a 2016 Buick SUV.

The driver of the truck has been identified as 68-year-old, Thomas Link. Link was injured during the accident and transported to by a private vehicle to the Medical Center of Franklin.

The Buick SUV drivers have been identified as 89-year-old,Larry and 82-year-old, Judith Daily of Portland, Tennessee. Both were transported to Medical Center of Franklin. Mrs. Daily was later transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

The Franklin Simpson EMS, Franklin Simpson Fire Department, and Simpson Co Sheriff assisted on the scene.
