Kentucky State Police reports 70% increase in calls during winter storm

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is thanking members of its staff and law enforcement that worked during winter storm conditions this past weekend.

KSP reports it saw a 70% increase in calls to its dispatch centers compared to an average Sunday and Monday.

In total, it says dispatchers answered over 1,450 calls.

In addition, KSP says troopers assisted almost 300 stranded motorists since the storm swept across Kentucky.
