Deputies investigate vehicle thefts in Bowling Green

WARREN COUNTY, Ky.- The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of vehicle thefts.

On Friday, Dec. 20, deputies say they responded to Ivan Downs Boulevard in reference to a stolen vehicle. Authorities say a 2014 Honda Civic had been stolen between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Friday morning but was later found in the 2900 block of Stagner Lane.

Several items that did not belong to the owner of the vehicle were found inside and around it, deputies say. The sheriff’s office says this included pieces of mail from Indo Street.

While recovering the Civic, deputies say they also responded to Pennyroyal Lane, where a silver 2015 Acura MDX was reported stolen.

Deputies say the car was discovered missing by the owner around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The sheriff’s office believes the Ivan Downs vehicle break-ins and theft happened around 4:30 a.m. based on video surveillance.

The silver Acura MDX is still missing and this investigation remains ongoing.
