Woman stabbed in Glasgow; authorities searching for suspect

GLASGOW, Ky.- The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that occurred over the weekend.

According to the law enforcement agency, on Saturday morning, a woman told authorities at TJ Samson Community Hospital that she had been stabbed. The victim was later airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for additional treatment.

The victim told deputies she was stabbed by Brooke Pierce, 26, at a residence on Tompkinsville Road.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Pierce for first-degree assault.
