Glasgow city officials hold public meeting to showcase planned property renderings for land on Veterans Outer Loop
GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow city officials held a public meeting Tuesday night to look at potential renderings for a piece of land the city is looking to buy on Cleveland Avenue at Industrial Drive, near Ply-Tech Corporation’s factory.
While no official plans have been set in stone yet, city council members and citizens alike got to see some ideas for what the future could hold.
Staff with QK4 Engineering, the firm the city is working with on this project, say they’ve been in contact with officials in the process and this was the first step they wanted to take.
“What is happening is the mayor and the leadership here at the city have decided ‘Hey, we want the first thing to be a public hearing’ what’s going on and getting involved… and so that’s what today was all about. That’s why we sort of did the spread of information around the room so that we could create conversations, get input, have the comment sheets and give people a chance to make comments on post-it notes of their own, etc..,” Rob Campbell, Vice President of Civil Site Design with QK4 Engineers says.
Campbell says the feedback they’ve received so far has been positive, and they will take any notes or questions they got from the public into consideration for the next steps of this project.
