Bowling Green Police Department to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department says it will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints on Friday, Nov. 29 between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
The department says the checkpoints are used to ensure safety for all drivers, verify compliance with laws and prevent impaired driving.
The checkpoints will take place at the following locations, according to police:
• 5600 block of Scottsville Road
• 3000 block of Louisville Road
• 1700 block of Scottsville Road
• 700 block of Lovers Lane
Officers will conduct the checkpoints at one location before moving to others throughout the evening, police say.
Drivers are reminded to have their license, registration and proof of insurance readily available when approaching a checkpoint.
