Free Thanksgiving dinners in the community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several organizations and local businesses are stepping up to provide dinners to those in need this Thanksgiving.

These include the following:

  • Teresa’s Restaurant in Bowling Green: Head over on Thursday, Nov. 28 for the restaurant’s annual Thanksgiving dinner from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers say everyone is welcome.
  • Grammie’s Home Cookin’ in Smiths Grove: Join them for a free meal open to the public on Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you or anyone you know needs a place to go on Thanksgiving, Grammie’s says you are welcome to stop by.
  • Thanksgiving Day celebration at Granville Allen VFW Post #5837 in Morgantown: If you need a place to go, organizers say you are welcome to spend it with the VFW family on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m.
  • Community Friendsgiving: A Meal for All by Near Church VIP Ministry at SoKY Marketplace in Bowling Green: Those in need are invited for a free Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last.
  • A Thanksgiving Feast for All at Broadway United Methodist Church off of Melrose Street in Bowling Green: The church says this community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11:30 a.m. t0 1 p.m. is free, and everyone is welcome – no exceptions.
  • Free Thanksgiving meal at the Hart County fairgrounds in Rowletts, Kentucky. This is a meal for those in need or who don’t have a family to celebrate the holiday with. For more information, call 270-524-2428 or 270-570-4456.
