BOWLING GREEN, Ky- Bowling Green mayor Todd Alcott visited the WNKY News 40 station on Tuesday to talk to some of our staff members, and accompanying him was Bowling Green Mayor of the Day John Michael Huffman.

While sitting down with WNKY staff, Huffman discussed his wishes to help local teachers by making it less expensive to purchase school supplies.

WNKY News 40 was only the first stop of the day though, as Huffman accompanied Alcott around town, watching, learning and participating in the everyday duties that Alcott does. Simply put, Huffman said he was looking forward to having fun during his journey as Mayor for the Day.
