Pair of Hilltoppers earn first career touchdowns against Kennesaw State

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As the WKU football team looks to grab a Conference USA championship, a couple of players are stepping up deeper into league play on the offensive side of the football.

Two Tops got their first career touchdowns in last week’s win over Kennesaw State.

In his first season as a Hilltopper after three at Arizona State, George Hart III got into the endzone on a 30-yard run for his first ever score.

And Noah Meyers, a redshirt freshman out of Louisville, was one of two tight ends to cross the goal line with his touchdown coming on a 17-yard pass, which also was his first career catch.

Both players were excited to get in on the fun season that the Hilltopper football team is having, and they shared their reactions after the scoring plays.

“Yeah, I had to praise God as soon as I ran into the end zone, you know, like it was just cool to like, know all my work came to a certain point to where I could finally get that reward, and just hopefully more to come,” Hart said. “So yeah, it definitely was rewarding. Just gotta keep my head down, keep working and just stay humble.”

“It was great. I was blessed to be even put into that, you know, space to even get that opportunity. But, you know, Caden, weaved the ball through four defenders and placed it right on me, so he made it easy on me,” Meyers said. “I’m blessed to have that opportunity and, you know, get a first catch.”
