UPDATE: Body recovered in ongoing drowning investigation

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The body of a drowning victim has been recovered after a multi-day search off of River Street, according to officials.
According to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife public information officer Cody Fox, the body recovered Wednesday has been identified as 48-year-old Kevin Gidcumb of Hadley, who is suspected to have drowned.
Multiple units responded Saturday afternoon for a reported water rescue near the River Street bridge.
News 40 crews at the scene said EMS officials said around 2:20 p.m. Saturday that one adult had not resurfaced.
Fox confirmed witnesses said they saw a male subject swimming in the river near the rapids and observed him go underwater.
The Bowling Green Police Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, Medical Center EMS and Barren County EMS conducted a search at the scene.
