Site selected for first Wawa convenience store in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One of the country’s most popular convenience stores is coming to Bowling Green and the location site has been selected.
Andy Shultz, founder of The Koin Group, a real estate developer based in Bowling Green, says the Wawa convenience store will be constructed on a 19-acre development on Hennessy Way located in front of the National Corvette Museum.
Vintage Apartments, owned and developed by The Southern Partners, will develop 248 multi-family units on the development.
The development will also include Woodspring Suites, a four-story extended-stay hotel.
Shultz says a new street will be developed and named Vintage Lane to tie into the history of the National Corvette Museum.
The Exit 28 corridor has been growing rapidly and this development will complement that growth very well. Wawa is going to bring a new spin on the convenience store industry in Bowling Green and Wawa has much more in the works for this area. The Koin Group is excited about the partnership with Wawa, to help bring new and exciting things to our Bowling Green hometown,” says Shultz.
The timeline for completion of the development has not been released.
