Man charged with carjacking in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges in Monroe County, including carjacking and bribery of a public servant.
According to an indictment warrant, Claude Cavin Jr., 25, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense, second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing, carjacking, theft by unlawful taking or disposition auto between $500 and $1,000 and two counts of bribery of a public servant.
The indictment warrant says it was executed Tuesday, Oct. 8. The document stated it was generated on Oct. 1 with the Monroe Circuit Court.
Cavin remains at the Barren County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
