Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office received state grant

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office has received a state grant to improve officer safety.

The department announced it has been named a recipient of a Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of the Attorney General’s Body Armor Grant Program.

The office says Sheriff James Edward Vincent submitted an application for the grant and was able to secure funding. Vincent says the county will save over $20,000.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of the Attorney General’s Body Armor Grant Program was established by the Kentucky General Assembly. The grant program provides law enforcement with critical safety equipment, including body armor, duty weapons, ammunition, electronic control devices, and body-worn cameras.
