UPDATE: KSP investigating police pursuit, shots fired incident
UPDATE 9/26: Kentucky State Police releases further details of shooting in Warren County
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a police pursuit and shots fired incident in Warren County on Wednesday evening.
According to scanner traffic, a police pursuit through Bowling Green ended on Willoughby Lane near Corta Way.
Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward says the suspect has active warrants.
Ward says the department pursued the vehicle until approximately 5 p.m. before disengaging.
According to scanner traffic, Kentucky State Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office continued the pursuit onto Willoughby Lane.
Witnesses at the scene tell WNKY News 40 the vehicle crashed.
Kentucky State Police public affairs officer Katan Parker has confirmed shots were fired during the incident.
The Bowling Green Police Department, Kentucky State Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office were at the scene.
The KSP Critical Incident Response Team is leading the investigation.
