Alvaton man flees Scottsville police after accident, rolls vehicle into creek

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Scottsville Police Department is investigating a vehicle accident that resulted in a pursuit and crash.

Scottsville police responded to a call of a non-injury vehicular accident at approximately 3 pm at the intersection of Old Gallatin Road and Veterans Memorial Highway on Wednesday.

Police say that upon arrival, they witnessed two vehicles drive away from the scene.

A compliant traffic stop was conducted on the driver of a Subaru.

The pick-up truck involved in the accident, driven by Tessie Stice, 61 of Alvaton, continued to Old Hartsville Road at a high rate of speed.

Police say multiple attempts were made to stop Stice.

While navigating a turn at the 1700 block of Old Hartsville Road, Stice lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle rolled over into a creek located 400 feet off the roadway.

The Scottsville Fire Department extracted Stice from the vehicle. Stice was transported to Greenview Hospital by Allen County EMS for treatment. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office assisted Scottsville police at the scene.

Police say criminal charges are pending and alcohol is suspected to be involved in the vehicle accident.
