‘Songs & Stories’ to showcase local musical heritage at SKyPAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has announced “Songs & Stories,” an event set to take place at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
The chamber says the event will feature performances from local songwriters to share their music and the stories behind their songs.
This is meant to serve as a celebration of the region’s musical heritage, showing the connection between the stories that inspire music, the chamber says.
The chamber says the Songs & Stories event is part of a broader initiative to grow the economic impact of the music scene in south-central Kentucky. It also says it has assembled a committee of exceptional community leaders to guide this initiative. These committee members include:
- Garrett Cline, CLINE
- Julie Milam, WNKY News 40
- Jeff Reed, Arts of Southern Kentucky
- Patrick Reynolds, Reynolds Corporation
- Spence Sheldon, Donatos Pizza
- Chris “Booba” Young, Forerunner
The community is invited to join the celebration and support this event.
The performance will be held in the Carol Wedge Studio Theater at SKyPAC at 601 College St.
An event date will be released upon future confirmation as this performance is forthcoming, according to Arts of Southern Kentucky.
