Firearm discharges, strikes man and child on Roselawn Way
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police are investigating an alleged accidental shooting that has left one child hospitalized.
Just after 4 pm on Saturday, the Bowling Green Police Department received a call at 812 Roselawn Way to a possible assault.
Bowling Green Police Public Information officer, Ronnie Ward, says investigators determined that a man was sitting on a bed with a weapon, possibly cleaning it and his daughter and granddaughter were seated next to him.
Investigators say the gun discharged, went through the man’s hand, entered the child and exited the child.
The child was treated at a Nashville Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
At this time, no charges will be filed.
Ward says additional information on the investigation will be provided as it becomes available.
The investigation is ongoing.
