UPDATE: BGFD’s Firehouse Festival postponed due to weather

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department’s Firehouse Festival will happen at a later date due to forecasted weather this weekend.
According to BGFD public information officer Katie McKee, the event is now slated for Sept. 28.
The annual festival will include bucket rides, a hose spray, a dunk tank, a bounce house, free refreshments and more. Plus, you can meet Millie the fire dog.
This event is free for the public.
Activities will take place from 2-4 p.m. at the JCPenney parking lot.
Firefighters will also conduct a live, controlled burn to show the public the importance of sleeping with your door closed. To learn more about the BGFD, click here.
