Man allegedly crashes car into parked car, almost strikes pedestrians

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing wanton endangerment and driving under the influence charges.
The Bowling Green Police Department responded to a call of a non-injury accident at Park Hills Street on Wednesday afternoon.
The complainant stated that a gray car hit a parked car and the operator then pushed a vehicle into a residence. The caller stated that the man exited the vehicle and sat in a lawn chair at the residence.
Police say that the operator of the vehicle, Ragib Salcinovic, 72 of Bowling Green, was sitting in the lawn chair when officers arrived.
According to a citation, Salcinovic told police he was drinking alcohol, hit a mailbox and his vehicle then slid.
Multiple witnesses told police that Salcinovic struck multiple objects with his vehicle. Salcinovic allegedly struck two parked vehicles, a water meter, a street sign, and four mailboxes.
According to one witness, Salcinovic almost struck their family with his vehicle while waiting for a child to get off a school bus.
Salcinovic was taken into custody and is lodged at the Warren County Detention Center.
Ragib Salcinovic is charged with 1st degree criminal mischief, 1st degree wanton endangerment, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol .08 (189a.010(1a) – 1st).
