Secretary Michael Adams introduces new poll worker portal

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – We are less than 100 days away from the presidential election, and with August 1st being National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, Secretary of State Michael Adams has made it easier to sign up.

A brand new poll worker recruitment portal has been launched… you can see that website at sos.ky.gov.

A statewide election requires up to 15,000 volunteer poll workers… and Secretary Adams urges the public to fill each and every one of those slots.

“We have Republicans who are concerned about election integrity. I say ‘Hey, if you’re concerned about election integrity, come work the polls…’ and I have Democrats who are concerned about voter suppression, and I say ‘If you’re concerned about voter suppression, come work the polls.’ The best way that you can ensure that we have a smooth election is instead of just sitting at home, come out & work the polls,” he says.

If you use the website to sign up, the portal will then send your information directly to your county clerk.

Poll workers must be registered to vote in the county they serve in and be available to attend training and work all day on a voting day.
