Two found unconscious in vehicle now face drug possession, trafficking charges

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Two people are facing drug possession and trafficking charges after being found unconscious in a vehicle.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call at approximately 4:30 pm on Wednesday in reference to a motor vehicle in a ditch at the area of East Princeton Street and Crofton-Fruithill Road in Crofton.

At the scene, deputies located two subjects unconscious inside the motor vehicle.

EMS responded to the scene and revived both subjects and they were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for medical clearance.

According to a release, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office says a search of the the vehicle was conducted and a large amount of drug-related items were discovered. The items include methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana (spice), suboxone strips, other unidentified narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. US currency was also found.

The subjects are identified as Joshua L. Scott, 32 of Madisonville, and Amber D. Crook, 32 of Bremen.

Crook and Scott are charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Meth), Possession of Synthetic Drugs, 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Offense

Both are lodged at the Christian County Detention Center.
