Man arrested on drug and trespassing charges in Tompkinsville

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky.- A man has been arrested on drug and trespassing offenses in Tompkinsville.

According to a uniform citation, the Tompkinsville Police Department responded Monday to Celina Road for a call about a male trespassing onto private property.

Police say they made contact with the male, identified as Concepcion Lopez-Yanez, 46, who stated he was living in a hole on the property.

After giving permission for a search, police say they located a bottle with powder residue.

Police say inside the hole, they located several cut straws believed to be for drug use.

Lopez-Yanez was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, giving an officer false identifying information, second-degree criminal possession of forged instrument and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified).

Lopez-Yanez remains at the Barren County Detention Center.
