New Details: Glasgow police investigating death following house fire

GLASGOW, Ky. – A house fire in Glasgow has claimed one victim.

According to Fire Chief William Rock, the department responded to 117 Hummingbird Lane.

Upon arrival, firefighters could see smoke coming from the front of the residence. Firefighters entered the home and extinguished the fire.

A victim was found at the scene.

According to Major Terry Flatt, the Glasgow Police Department is conducting a death investigation.

The fire department was assisted by Barren/Metcalfe EMS, Glasgow Police Department, and Barren County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
