Multiple power outages reported in south-central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Power is being restored after thousands of households in Simpson County were impacted by a lightning strike.

That’s according to Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation’s online outage viewer, which showed nearly 2,300 outages Tuesday evening.

Warren RECC stated it had a transmission line out in the Franklin area due to the lightning strike.

In addition, Butler County has a reported 84 outages, while Edmonson County has roughly 26.

According to Bowling Green Municipal Utilities online outage viewer, around 67 Bowling Green households were without power.
