UPDATE: Man identified in fatal Park City crash

UPDATE (7.5.24) – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office says Jeffery Denton, 55 of Glasgow, was traveling south on Louisville Road at the time of the crash.

During the investigation of the crash, the Sheriff’s office says a witness shared that a Mercury passenger car operated by Denton veered off the left side of the road and struck a tree head-on.

Denton was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Denton was pronounced dead at the scene.

PARK CITY, Ky. – The Barren County Sheriff’s Office says it is at the scene of a fatal wreck on Louisville Road at Old Dixie Highway in Park City, Kentucky.

According to a release by the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle fatality crash at the scene around 1:11 p.m. Wednesday.

The roadway has since reopened.
