Auburn woman arrested on DUI charge after allegedly almost hitting deputy’s cruiser

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Logan County woman is facing multiple charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

According to a uniform citation, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was traveling Monday on West Ninth Street in Russellville when a vehicle almost caused a collision with the deputy’s cruiser.

Deputies say they made contact with the driver, identified as 46-year-old Tequilla Armstrong of Auburn, Kentucky, who had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle.

Upon exiting the vehicle, deputies say Armstrong had to use the vehicle to keep her balance.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies say they located a single Clonazefram pill in Armstrong’s wallet.

Armstrong was arrested and transported to the Logan County Detention Center.

Armstrong faces charges of disregard – fail to yield right of way, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first offense, failure to produce insurance card, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first offense, and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
