BG Thunderfest hosts Sponsor’s Luncheon to thank those who make it happen
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green’s premier fireworks show is back for a 53rd year, and the Kiwanis Club decided to thank the people that make it happen.
They held a sponsorship lunch at Crosslands Community Church Wednesday afternoon, where they were able to thank those who help with this event, from food trucks that help keep everyone full to local businesses.
We spoke to a co-chair who says even though they’re already thinking about next year’s Thunderfest, they want to try to make each year the biggest Thunderfest yet.
“We look forward to serving this community each and every year… and for 53 years this great community has had this event… and we look forward to next year already without even having said we’ve shot this one off. We’re looking forward to next year and making this an even bigger and better event each and every year after,” Chris Westray says.
Thunderfest is set to take place on June 29th at Ephram White Park. Gates open at 3PM, and chairs say to get there early to get the best possible view.
