Scottsville-Allen County 911 Center documenting safe spaces

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – To better serve the community after severe weather, the Scottsville-Allen County 911 center is reaching out to the community.
Allen County Sheriff Brad Ford pitched the idea to a member of the city council which was then voted on at the next city council meeting. The current campaign is meant to get community members to call the non-emergency line at 270-237-3611 and report if they have a personal storm shelter or basement. This information will then be compiled by dispatch to inform officers on where to look for people if areas sustain heavy damage.
