KSP arrests man on criminal child abuse charge

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – A Hart County man is facing a child criminal abuse charge.

Kentucky State Police arrested Cody Jones, 20 of Horse Cave, on Friday, June 14, 2024 on Main Street in Munfordville.

Police allege that Jones intentionally injured a 14-month-old child on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

The Complaint for Commonwealth vs. Cody Jones states that Jones caused the child to have a sublingual frenulum tear, ulcerations in the posterior pharynx, injury to the left lower lip, perianal bruising, erythematous blanching diaper rash, multiple bruises throughout the body in various stages of healing ranging from 1 cm-4cm in diameter, scabbed areas in a linear pattern on abdomen, and a cast on the right upper extremity.

Jones is charged with criminal abuse of 1st degree-child 12 or under.

Jones is lodged at the Hart County Jail. His bond is set at $50,000.
