Edmonson, Metcalfe counties benefitting from agricultural loan programs

EDMONSON COUNTY, METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – Two local counties are set to receive agricultural loans.

According to a release by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Metcalfe County is receiving $250,000 from the Agricultural Infrastructure Loan Program.

Eligible projects include permanent farm structures with attached equipment that improves the profits of farming operations.

Meanwhile, the release states Edmonson County is set to receive $86,156 from the Beginning Farmer Loan Program.

The BFLP is designed to support individuals with some farming experience who desire to develop, expand or buy into a farming operation.
